CIMAT is a high-tech designer and manufacturer of turbocharger balancing machines and special balancers for mechanical, control system, manufacturing, and electrical and mechanical assembly.

The company is headquartered in Bydgoszcz, Poland, where all machine components are manufactured in the European Union. CIMAT has partnerships with industry leaders all over the world, and its machines are at work in 90 countries across six continents.

CIMAT was established in 1987 by three doctors of mechanical engineering: Ludwik Ciolczyk, Miroslaw Malec and Andrzej Topolinski.The letters of their surnames is how the title of CIMAT emerged.  

In 2015, CIMAT joined the Burke Porter Group family of brands, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of advanced technological testing solutions. This union with CIMAT allowed BPG to intensify its focus on balancing machines for automotive and aftermarket manufacturers.

CIMAT designs and manufactures balancing machines, which are used to measure and reduce any unbalance in a rotating or reciprocating part or component. Unbalanced parts can allow dangerous vibrations to occur, which introduce stresses that can ultimately result in broken or malfunctioning machinery.

CIMAT produces universal balancing machines as well as special balancers tailored to specific trades and the needs of individual clients. For example, CIMAT produces a variety of balancing machines and flow benches for manufacturers of complete turbochargers and turbocharger spare parts.
